In a kids’ ski area, children – and of course adults – can learn to ski in a playful and relaxed way, go sledding down gentle slopes and enjoy an unforgettable winter day together. Comfortable magic carpets take you uphill, while the practice slopes feature gates, small obstacles and soft bumps – perfect for learning to ski with fun and without pressure.
Here you’ll find our Top 6 family-friendly kids’ ski areas and fun parks in South Tyrol, ideal for relaxed winter days and first turns on skis.
Learning and Practising Skiing in Family-Friendly Areas
We selected our personal Top 6 kids’ ski areas in South Tyrol based on the following criteria:
- The car park should be close to the kids’ ski area, so ski equipment and sledges don’t have to be carried far.
- The practice area should be easily accessible on foot, without the need for ski lifts, to avoid additional costs.
- A big plus: All selected areas offer very affordable entry fees or are even free of charge (current prices can be found on the official ski resort websites).
- Sledging and tobogganing should be allowed, as sometimes not all family members want to or are able to ski.
- A nearby mountain hut or restaurant is important for warming up and recharging in between.
- Ideally, there is a ski lift right next to the kids’ area, so adults can enjoy a few runs on the slopes as well.
