Description

Here, you can explore South Tyrol in miniature! Discover landmarks, castles, palaces, a traffic jam on the Brenner Highway, a Südtirol 1 concert, farmers at work, Sacred Heart bonfires, romantic couples, marble mining in Lasa, an accident between Franzensfeste and Brixen, and much more. And of course—lots of trains, buses, and railways!

Model Railway World is spread across three floors:
Ground floor – A fantasy landscape with multiple trains.
First floor – A detailed miniature version of South Tyrol (a real highlight!)
Second floor – A special exhibition on the history of transportation (2025)
You can even activate special features at the push of a button—start the nostalgic Ritten Railway, trigger a police operation, or set construction work in motion. In the South Tyrol miniature world, day regularly turns into night, revealing countless lights and special effects.

To ensure kids get the best view, a continuous metal step runs along the exhibit. Children aged 4-5 and up can explore independently, while younger ones may need to be carried. Strollers are welcome, and an elevator provides easy access to all floors.

On the ground floor, you’ll also find a play area where kids can become train conductors themselves. Wooden tracks and drawing materials are available too.
By the way: This is Italy’s largest digital model railway layout! With over 20,000 individual pieces, it is also one of the largest private collections in Europe.
Admission: €12 adults, €8.50 for ages 3-14, various family packages available (see website).
