Route description
Attention space fans! This rocket treehouse in Collepietra invites you to climb, explore, and play. It’s completely made of wood, consists of multiple levels and towers, and is beautifully nestled in the forest – perfect for spending quality time in nature while immersing yourself in a fantasy world as astronauts.
It’s best to park your car in the village square in Collepietra, next to the Lex Market. From there, you’ll already see the signposts. Follow sign number 2 (Rocket Treehouse is indicated in German as “Raketenbaumhaus”).
Then, walk along an asphalted road for about 30 minutes, which is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. On your right, you’ll have a beautiful panoramic view of the valley. On the left, you’ll soon see the impressive rocket treehouse. There are benches and tables in the forest for a picnic.
The return journey is along the same path.
The treehouse is one of the stops along the Star Trail but can also be visited separately with this short hike. We recommend the excursion for children from 3 years old – there is a steep wooden staircase in the treehouse, which might be a bit challenging for younger ones.
The hike is most beautiful in spring and autumn.
