Route Description
This easy but charming walk starts right in the village centre of Tiso (Isarco Valley) and is ideal for families with children. From the Tiso Mineral Museum, head toward the village fountain and follow the sign marked “Mesner Lacke.” A short walk downhill along the sidewalk brings you to the small, picturesque Mesner Lacke, which can be easily circled on foot.
Along the way, an information panel explains the local rock formations, while stunning views open up over the surrounding mountain landscape. The trail is especially beautiful in autumn, when the reeds turn vibrant shades of red and orange, giving the scene a fairytale-like atmosphere. The Mesner Lacke is not a bathing pond, but a meeting place for young and old to enjoy nature and relax.
Playground in Tiso
If you continue a little further downhill from the pond, you’ll reach the village festival grounds and the large Tiso playground after just a few minutes. Expanded and renovated in 2025, the playground now offers even more opportunities for climbing, playing, and exploring – a true paradise for children after a relaxing walk.
