A Hidden Gem for Families in South Tyrol

The forest playground in Altrei/Anterivo, located in the southern part of South Tyrol, is a peaceful oasis for children and families. Slightly hidden in the woods, its secluded setting is part of its special charm.

From the parking area, simply cross the road and follow a short forest path for about a minute to reach the first highlight – the large slide tower. If you’re using a stroller, it’s best to take the route along the road and then follow the wide forest track, which leads you past the climbing and balance course.

Lovingly designed and perfectly integrated into the surrounding forest, this nature playground invites little adventurers to explore and play. Highlights include a nest swing, a balancing trail, two swings, a slide tower, and creative water installations that bring welcome refreshment on warm summer days.

While the kids play, parents can relax on one of the picnic tables and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and panoramic mountain views of South Tyrol.

Insider tip: The playground is especially enjoyable in spring, late summer, or autumn, as temperatures can get quite warm here in midsummer.

Kneipp Trail & Barefoot Path – Pure Nature for the Whole Family

Right next to the playground, you’ll find a charming Kneipp facility and a forest barefoot path – a highlight for both kids and adults, especially on hot days.

Please note: Both the Kneipp area and the barefoot path are only accessible to children under 12 when accompanied by an adult, and dogs are not allowed.

Family tip: Don’t forget a change of clothes! Cool mountain water and natural forest paths promise a fun and unforgettable family experience in South Tyrol.
